Climate Scoot is a mobile game integrated with physical scooter add-ons that turn children's ordinary scooters into game controllers. As part of a master's course we were tasked with creating a device that uses human-powered transportation in order to solve a core societal issue. Our group held a common view of wanting to increase people-to-people interaction in a new and transformative way. We decided on creating an interactive, tangible game for children ages 8-12 that encourages social outdoor exploration through storytelling that increases awareness of environmental changes and shift in climate.
